Pigmented Lesions
Today's new light and laser technologies deliver precise doses of energy to each vein and pigmented lesion of the skin with minimal risk to the treated area. During these treatments light energy is delivered through a special hand piece to the targeted vein or sunspot, energy is then absorbed causing a mini thermocoagulation of the sunspot or blood vessel, which is then slowly absorbed by the body. Most patients describe the sensation to be like the snap of a rubber band on the skin as the pulses of energy are delivered through the hand pieces. Some patients opt to have a topical anesthetic, after treatment the pain is minimal to non-existent.
Typically multiple treatments are necessary to achieve optimal results. Tiny pink and red vessels usually require two or more treatments to achieve acceptable results. Most sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart.
Optimal results can be maintained only if you apply sunscreen on the treated area and avoid sun exposure. Over time it is possible for new veins and age spots to appear, but these too can be erased. Lasers and advanced light systems have been used safely for millions of patients worldwide. These systems treat only the targeted blood vessels and sunspots leaving the surrounding tissues intact. With our advance technology we are able to safely and effectively treat these facial irregularities.
