About Me

Mark Horowitz, D.O.

Dr. Mark Horowitz practices medicine at Coast Dermatology Medical Associates. After completing his training at Michigan State University over 20 years ago, he has mastered some of the most advanced techniques available in dermatology and cosmetic surgery today. Dr. Horowitz is an expert in general and surgical dermatology. He has advanced skills in skin cancer detection and Mohs micrographic surgery to treat large and difficult tumors of the skin.

Besides his advanced surgical training, he has developed a special interest in chronic rashes that result from allergic reactions. He has developed a patch test center which can detect offending chemicals in your environment that may be producing the rash. Our office is one of the few medical practices offering this advanced service in southern California.

Dr. Mark Horowitz was the assistant director of the Western University/Pacific Hospital Dermatology residency program, and he was active in teaching resident physicians at UCLA Harbor Hospital. Dr. Mark Horowitz has published multiple articles in prestigious medical journals. He has been asked to be a speaker for many pharmaceutical companies and has conducted clinical trials on new and innovative medications.
